Early Inspirations
From an early age, I have been captivated by the quiet poetry of the natural world. Childhood journeys through the wild, open landscapes of Scotland and the luminous countryside of Ireland first awakened my love of painting—moments of shifting light, restless skies, and endless horizons leaving a lasting impression on my imagination.
Growing up in the timeless beauty of the Cotswolds and studying in Malvern, I was immersed in rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and expansive views that continue to shape my artistic voice. These early influences fostered a deep sensitivity to atmosphere and place, inspiring a body of work that seeks not only to capture a landscape’s form, but its spirit.
Working primarily in landscapes and seascapes, I aim to translate the rhythm and emotion of the natural world onto canvas—inviting the viewer to pause, breathe, and reconnect. My paintings balance realism with expressive movement, offering collectors and galleries work that is both evocative and enduring.
